[Spacecadets] Resubmission of Annex Rental Proposal.

Although I do not disagree with you on the fact that this should be under the Spacecadets realm of topics to discuss, we still had not made any definitive progress on it as of the last meeting. If the board would like to specifically request we consider what to do with that space (and the cascading effects of that decision) then they can do that...which is sounds like they will.

1) Flynn's Arcade has essentially been consolidated into Flynn's Arcade/Mission Control. It is the quiet space/take a nap space now (the love seat I believe was moved in there) so it is actually acting in the capacity as intended.

I am unfamiliar with the "Inbox." Is that the officers' office?

2) I am a little wary of moving the donations zone into a confined space (note I am all for it being in a defined space) because it makes it harder to deal with. If something like the water cooler for example is in the back under four other things it makes that item impossible to use/process/toss. Essentially it is dead weight at the point. In the current configuration we have room to move items out and deal with items underneath.

I do not believe the board has formally dealt with how the naming auction will officially go, but that is just what I have heard from Geoff at the last meeting.

I believe the allocated usage of the office would fall more under the Spacecadets to determine, and then submit that proposal to the board.

Two ideas I'd like to propose / throw out for the use of this room:

1) Consider moving Flynn's Arcade here, thus freeing up the current location for something that might yield better usage. Right now Flynn's Arcade seems to be a dead space that is serving as storage for various forms of entertainment equipment. With this room in an area of higher traffic flow, it seems like it could serve a better purpose.

2) As the Inbox gets whittled down, make that room the Inbox which would help hide the clutter, and give a true defined space for almost all donations to be processed. This also would free up more space within the "Core" of the Annex. The assorted barrels of materials to be recycled could be lined up again the outside wall, and along the theme of Inbox, could be called the "Recycle Bin".

Along the subject of room naming, I know that the date of October when the old lease expires and the new combined leases take effect was when the old names of rooms were going to be subject to change, but when was the proposed naming bidding, etc to open up?

There was no consideration on what to use the office for at the last meeting (or the one before that) we are leaving that up to the Board.

Sounds pretty good, all things considered.

Were there any discussions at any of the meetings about uses for the office, once it is no longer obscured by the Inbox?
