IMHO Drew, et al. did what was necessary at a time when need -- class in less than 24-hours!  While it might not be what was "best", there was no one of authority in sight to direct "better".  Personally, I cannot fault anyone for taking such actions.

We didn't know the pad outside was an option. The welding instructor
wasn't here, we didn't have his phone number, and the class was
scheduled to start the following morning.

In any case, we're certainly not faulting the welding class instructor.
He didn't move the donations pile. We did it, and one of the reasons was
to make space for the welding area because, based on the information we
had at the time, we thought it was necessary. Even if we had known it
wasn't necessary for the welding area, we still would have done it,
because the situation was ridiculous; there was barely even room to walk
from the roll-up door to the wood shop.

Since the monthly meeting is tomorrow, let's ask what everybody prefers.
If most people want me to move all the welding equipment out of the way,
then move the huge donations pile back to where the welding area
currently is, then I'll sacrifice another day of my time and do it.
