That project is proceeding. For the 3D scanner you would need to ask our president. As far as the CNC metal machine goes, you are correct. You have to know machining practices, and CNC practices before you can use it. It is not a machine you can afford to make mistakes on. That's what the manual machines, and X-Carve are for. It's something we will work out with another member who has CNC experience. I expect it will take a year, after bringing it online, before it can be offered to members as part of a training plan.
